End of Year Message

Dear Families and Members of the CISND Community,

As we come to the close of the 2024–2025 school year, I wish to express my sincere appreciation for the trust, encouragement, and ongoing support you have shown toward your children and our schools throughout the year.

In this Jubilee Year of Hope, and in the second year of our diocesan theme—Living, Celebrating, and Proclaiming Our Faith—we pause to celebrate the many blessings we’ve experienced together. Your partnership has been essential to creating schools that not only pursue academic excellence, but also nurture the spiritual, emotional, and social development of every child.

There is much to celebrate across our Catholic schools:

• Children made exciting progress in reading and writing through focused literacy initiatives

• They participated in music, theatre, clubs, and athletics, discovering talents, building friendships, and developing leadership.

• They grew in faith, through school liturgies, sacramental preparation, and classroom discussions that helped them see the world through the eyes of Christ.

• They showed compassion in action—serving others through food drives, environmental efforts, and community outreach projects

We are especially mindful of the importance of strengthening the bonds between school, parish, and community. These relationships provide a solid foundation for our students’ formation and for the flourishing of Catholic education. Our mission remains clear: Christ-centred and student-focused, we are called to walk alongside our young people—guiding them to grow in wisdom, character, and faith.

As the summer begins, I pray that you and your family find time to rest, to be together, and to reconnect in meaningful ways. When we return in September, we will enter the third year of our diocesan theme, with a focus on Proclaiming Our Faith. As we continue forward as Pilgrims of Hope, we look forward to welcoming your families back—walking together and strengthening our shared mission to form hearts, minds, and communities rooted in faith, hope, and love. God Bless.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

In Christ,
